1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the CLIQ FM website (https://www.cliqfm.ca) and its web radio stream, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of services

CLIQ FM is a web radio station dedicated to music created in whole or in part in Quebec. Our services include:

  • Free live audio streaming of our musical programming
  • News and articles about the Quebec music scene
  • A broadcast history of recently played songs
  • Contact, song request, music submission and advertising request forms
  • An optional email newsletter
  • An installable web application (PWA)

3. Free access and availability

Listening to CLIQ FM is free. We strive to keep the stream available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, technical failures or events beyond our control may temporarily affect availability, without any compensation being due.

4. Acceptable use

By using our services, you agree to:

  • Not record, redistribute, rebroadcast or commercially exploit our audio stream without written permission
  • Not attempt to disrupt, overload or compromise the security of the site
  • Not use our forms to send spam, abusive, defamatory or illegal content
  • Not impersonate another person or entity
  • Provide accurate information in your submissions

5. Music submissions (artists)

By submitting music through our submission form, you declare and warrant that:

  • You own the rights to the submitted work, or are duly authorized to submit it
  • The work was created in whole or in part in Quebec
  • The information provided (title, artists, ISRC code, year of release) is accurate

Submitting music grants CLIQ FM a non-exclusive, royalty-managed broadcast licence to play the work on our web radio. Applicable royalties are declared and paid through SOCAN and Re:Sound in accordance with Canadian regulations. You retain all ownership of your work. CLIQ FM reserves the right to accept or decline any submission at its sole discretion.

6. Advertising

Advertising requests are subject to approval by our team. CLIQ FM reserves the right to refuse any advertisement that does not comply with our editorial standards, Canadian advertising laws, or that we deem inappropriate for our audience. Broadcasting begins only after payment has been received in full. Advertising fees are non-refundable once broadcasting has begun, except as required by law.

7. Intellectual property

  • The CLIQ FM name, logo, visual identity and website design are the property of CLIQ FM and may not be reproduced without permission.
  • The musical works broadcast remain the property of their respective rights holders.
  • Articles and content published on the site are protected by copyright. Short quotations with attribution are permitted.

8. Third-party links and services

Our site contains links to third-party services (Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, social media, payment providers). These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. CLIQ FM has no control over and assumes no responsibility for these third-party services.

9. Advertising displayed on the site

The site may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. These ads are selected by Google and do not constitute an endorsement by CLIQ FM. See our Privacy Policy for details on data used for advertising.

10. Limitation of liability

CLIQ FM provides its services "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, CLIQ FM shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our services, including service interruptions, data loss, or third-party content.

11. Personal information

The collection and use of your personal information are described in our Privacy Policy, in accordance with Quebec's Bill 25 and Canada's PIPEDA.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use at any time. The current version is always available at https://www.cliqfm.ca/conditions.php. Continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Any dispute shall be submitted to the courts of the judicial district of Montréal, Quebec.
